I go to Taylorsville most every weekend and find the cold fronts
like this past weekend really kill the crappie fishing.
I went saturday, and the wind was out of the north, killed it.
I fished 2 hrs then came home.
I went yesterday hoping it would start rebounding, it did a little.
I caught fish but most were 9" or smaller.
I try and keep them only 10" and larger.
I did have 7 by the end of the day but half of them were
slightly below my 10" minimum.
It should start picking up now, I got temps from 68 to 70.
All the fish I caught were in 15 to 20 ft of water and I had
to get in the brush to get a bite. I fish with jigs.
If I wasn't banging the brush I wasn't catching fish.
They were really slow.

Went Saturday (11/29) and the temp was 69.
Caught a few crappie, no large ones. Kept 11 that were
9 1/2" to 10 1/2".
They were mostly in deeper water, 15 to 20 ft.
Had to work it real slow and use a small tube jig.
Had some luck vertical jigging, they wouldn't hit it untill
it stopped moving. Water looked good.

Sunday on Taylorsville
Fished 4 hours Sunday morning and came home with 14 keepers 9 - 12in. Caught them 6 - 12 ft deep over 20+ ft of water. We were using minnows and slip floats. I caught some down to 20 ft deep but they were small ones.
Sorry about the late post, just haven't had time to get to the computer. Thanks everyone for the reports, its good to see others reporting on Tville.
Take care,
Greenfish
