    Default Meldahl

I was at Meldahl today fishing was on in off for the Hybrids, Sauger was slow and they were small, George and Ed were jigging on the wall with minnows and getting small white bass and small sauger, the two guys I am talking about were the guys on the front page of last years regulation book for ky. The water was muddy and river was 18 feet in the morning and when we left it was around 17 1/2 feet.

Id say the fast droppin' water didn't help things much. If those fella's are down there fishin' then the bite can't be too far away.

Hey EKY the website I look at for the water level is www.erh.noaa.gov/er/ohrfc.com, this is for any body looking at water levels for the ohio river.

    Good report
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

ekySlabber--Didn't make it to the Cave, but went to Craigs Creek instead. Got a late start. Two crappie and they were small. A few white bass also small/ Water 51 degrees and stained. Lots of wind.

Well went to meldahl, fishing was pretty slow one hybrid out of the gate on a oz and half jig,it was about six pounds and some white bass they were around 12 inches in legnth nothing to brag about and sauger no body really fished for them but never saw any caught. There were some people on the wall fishing on the upper side for skipjack there bite was the same a fish every once in a while, I ended up leaving around noon. Sure was a nice day anyway.
