    Default Big fish tragedy

About a month ago I was doing some crappie fishing on Carnico when I talked to a fellow who showed me some pictures of a crappie he had caught three days before, he had multiple pics of it with him holding it and others around. (Ill copy the pick and put it on here in the future) The Nicholas Co. C. Officer saw it and certified it a 4.18 lbs. It is a brute, never imagined a trophy like that coming outta the dink drink. The sad part of this story is he held it on a stringer all day showing folks, and at the end of the day released it(only to float up and die) some folks found the same fish floating the next day. I know someone will probably throw the BS flag at me but this was a legit 4+ lber. I hate to see a trophy like that get wasted. That thing would be mounted for sure. That is a true fish of a lifetime, and Id give anything to have that bugger on my wall!!! Looked like a hybrid between a white and a black. If you are ever at the boat ramp at Carnico, look at the pictures there hanging up, the follow that runs the dock caught it. If I would have found it floating I would have had it mounted anyways. Oh well, impressive fish for sure!!!!:D

I work with a guy from Nicholas County that heard about the fish and I was teasing him about it. I never really doubted what my friend said but was just having fun. I guess now I'll have to tell him about your post. It is a shame what happened. I've fished there a couple of times catching only dinks myself.
