Went to the Ohio River this past couple of weeks with my son, dad and best friend. The river has started to clear up this past week and the fishing is beginning to improve.

The first couple of pics are of some catfish we caught while drift fishing in Smithland Pool. The fish were caught in 35-40 ft of water on skipjack.






Here is a pic of my son with 5 crappie he caught and on the way back to the ramp we saw this coyote swimming the river. My boy got a big kick out of seeing that coyote. We also had a 15 lb silver carp jump in the boat this morning (no pic). The river is full of jumping carp this year. Note: The crappie were released.






Went fishing with my Dad today. We ended up catching 10 keeper crappie and 5 keeper bass. The crappie averaged 12" and were caught on minnows we seined off a sandbar in the river.
