    Default Lake Huron Fishing Trip

A group of us made a trip up north a couple of weeks ago. These aren't crappie but it was a lot of fun.

My friends go every year and this was my first trip but hopefully not my last. These were all caught fishing spinnerbaits on big weed beds. Pretty shallow water 3 to 5 ft. and very clear. We stayed in a small town named Hessel, Michigan. I would highly recommend it.

I take my boat up to Erie every year for the smallies but always interested in a new trip. Can you give more details like did you have a guide, where to stay. cost, how far from KY and any other details. We were thinking of trying Lake St Clair next year for a little change but would be interested in what you did especially with those northerns in the pictures.

We stayed in a small town named Hessel. There were 8 of us and we rented 2 cabins at a place called Hessel Bay Sunset cabins. They have a website. It is an area called the Le Cheneaux islands. It really didn't cost that much by the time we divided it 8 ways. There is a public ramp within a quater mile of the cabins and some small stores close. We fished weedbeds and rock shoals. With most of the fish being caught out of the weeds.
