Thumbs up Hot Ky Lake Action

Well I finally got up off my butt & went fish'n yesterday. Boy am I glad I did. I couldn't get motivated until about 11 am. By then it was get'n hot but what the heck. If the fish weren't bite'n I could work on my tan.:D

Got started looking in about 14' to 15', caught several dinks & then a keeper or 2. Moved around alot & seemed like the big brush piles held fish. Caught a ton of small bass! Went out a little deeper & found good size fish about 12' deep in 17' to 18'. Wound up with 18 good keepers & probably caught 50 all together. Fished about 5 1/2 hours. Some of the bigger females had a few eggs in'm but not many.

Good job wiskers, glad someone is catching them. I went last week and they kicked my butt. Only managed a couple keepers in about 4hrs. Getting a lot of short strikes, but didn't connect with many. Was hoping to get back after them this week but the unsettled weather and hour drive one way is probably gonna keep me from trying this week.

Great job. You are the man if you are still catching them because most of us can only catch them during the early spring run.

Caught every one of them on a 3/32 oz jig with a Chartruse head. Yellow & Chartruse 2" southern Pro Tube pumped up with Crappie Nibblets. Fish were around 11' to 12' on big piles. Fix'n to head to Eddy Creek right now to prove to a buddy of mine that there's fish in there.

    Oh... Scott's just jelous. :

    Cool Tuff one

Well I went to Eddy Creek yesterday to prove to my buddy that there was fish in there. Well for quite a while I though he was right! Man we looked everywhere. Finally started spider rig'n in about 12' on a flat & wound up with 13 keepers (only 1 or 2 good size fish), 1 catfish & 1 bass. It was a tuff one!
