Grand Lake Crappie

This probably wont help the Kansas fisherman much, but my wife and I did really good down at Grand Lake Oklahoma. We got there on the afternoon of the 14th and fished till the 19th. We were fishing a dock on Monkey island, I don't know the name of the cove, but it was good fishing. All fish came on jigs of just about any color if it was in about 4 to 5 feet of water. I ended up cleaning 78 crappie for the 5 and a half days. Average size was 11 to 12 inches, with maybe 5 in the 13 inch range. We caught several under 10 and back they went. Weather was good, and for once we didn't hear anyone say, " you should of been here last week."
