Marion County today

Was cold and wet. Fished from shore for a couple of hours. Late morning early afternoon. Picked up 1 -12" largemouth. No other bites at all. Used minnows/ minnow- jig combo. Nothing. Hit the heated dock for a couple of hours after. Still minnows/minnow jig combo. top to bottom,bottom to top, nothing. left 1 rod deadsticking while I slip- bobbered the perimeter, inside and out. Came back inside and tried a little more and a nice (18") wiper hit the deadstick @ about 18"deep.Almost lost the rod. 5 minutes of excitement after about 4 hours of hard at it. Talked to a few other fellows who had no good reports also. Water is about 2' high right now. Couldn't tell you the temp. Hope someone has something better to report. Good luck.
