You are welcome to join us on in outdoor adventures in Kansas. Come along for the ride at www.kansasoutdoorsman.com ~ This is our outdoor adventures of Kansas Hunting and Fishing!!!
Even the larger lakes are good in the early spring fishing from the banks. Most of them have shallow coves, creeks and rivers that are full of crappie starting in March and clear up into May if weather interferes with the spawn. Hillsdale, Perry and Clinton are farther north lakes and all seem to be doing good on big crappie this year. Toronto and Fall River are smaller lakes that always have great crappie and white bass fishing and can be fished from the bank. Since most of our lake a not commercially developed you can fish all the way around most of the lakes in Kansas. If you com down towards Wichita send me a PM and I will take you out on Eldorado even though its not one of the best crappie lakes in the state it's a good Walleye and smallmouth lake. Good Luck
Did some body say walleye?
Might give Pony Creek a try, it close to Neb.
dkv, I have fished it once, black crappie, what I caught was nice, but not to many, Chatt has had success there. Has a few trees on SW corner if I remember correctly. Another fisherman was fishing wipers on a point with many hook ups.
Love catching black crappie, Thanx Ron.
