Thread: Eldorado today

Got to Eldorado today about 0730 to 20 MPH wind out of the north and 45 degree temp. launched and crappie fished for awhile with a few thumps but no fish so went to crank baiting windy points. Caught about 10 wipers up to 20 inches and a dozen small mouth up to about 16 inches. Nice to have the lake without pleasure boats again.

Know what ya mean about the pleasure boats. Some of the guys driving those boats are respectful of fishermen and don't stir up much of a wake when they go by, but then there are the others who drive an ocean boat in a lake. Grew up at LOZ, so I saw plenty of the latter growing up...

Nice work. Good plan. So cool to have quality bronze back waters in KS. 45 years ago when I started fishing Kansas, closest place for the smallies was in another state and it was super hard to find one that would go 14 let alone 16". Fun fun fish. You da man!

Fished the MO trout myself today. Tough bite and big crowd where I was. Left there and went out for deer. Nothing but turkey. Should have stayed in state.
