Default Good boat shops in Kansas? Or someone that is good at working on bass boats

I have 1992 stratos 201 pro xl with a 225 evinrude took it to melvern today with my wife to try out my new Garmin 73dv I finally got to buy and the boat started up great but when I put in gear it acts like its choking and dies. I hate the hot foot and I do have the wiring questions on this thing to . I bought it used and love the boat just want it to run right . Anybody have a shop they like to use ? Or know anybody that is good at working on boats ? I also have a 4 inch jack plate that I would like to have installed . It's manual jack plate shouldn't be hard I just don't have a lift to pick up the motor.

C brooks I don't know of anyone in ks that I would use. If you don't mind driving to oklahoma I know a shop that is more than reasonable and well worth the time and effort to get there. In fact he's the only one I use. Several people on here use him too. Send me a pm if you want to see about him. His name is Kelly Davis

I live in Topeka, but use Mike @ Melvern Marine to do my work. He is reasonable on price, knowledgeable & is very good about doing/completing work on time.

Mike is the best boat mechanic around. Great guy. Prices set by owner of Marina. Not the cheapest not the most expensive. You pay for what you get. With Mike you get one of the best.
