    Default Bank Fishing - Perry/Hillsdale

    Hey all,

My brother's boat is out of commission and I would like to try and take my son fishing this weekend. Can anyone give a couple of suggestions on spots to hit for fishing from the bank for these two lakes, it would be greatly appreciated!

Suggest you try a farm pond.

I agree with Mr. Meeder's suggestion to try a farm pond, or possibly a small nearby lake or pond. Crappies are still somewhat deep at Perry, and quite a bit from shore.

Farm ponds are good idea, heating up quick. I can give you some Hillsdale ideas for now but I havent fished um recently. Popular spot on the north side of the north east bridge. Deep water just past the trees 70 yards or so east of the corner. Then one parking lot NE. Walk down the road past the pump, dug out for the waterinlet. Another less fished spot is the water inlet in the back of the horse area. Long walk, same thing, dug out by the inlet. Then handicapped cement landing at the ramp just south of the bridge. Then right side of the Antioch ramp by the handicap place just right of the ramp. Best bet is probably under the NE bridge. Main docks got a lot of slips over deep water with sunken brush but some of the owners can be little tight. Lakes very low right now. No outflow, wouldn't waste much time in the outlet, but floating down the outlet creek can be productive. Walking might go down the right side, all the way where the 2 creeks meet. Maybe a spot, good for cats in the summer. If we get a decent rain, creek behind Browns marsh, far marsh water takeout spot is always good for cats after decent rain with good inflow. Bring lots of worms, can be a real hot 5 something second bite, but only gets real good with good flow. Good luck.

    Hey DuckHunting,

Thanks very much for the info! I have hit quite a few random spots around Hillsdale, but a couple of those I have never tried. I will definitely give them a go, so i really appreciate all of the detailed information!
