Had the opportunity to fish with Bob Roberts & Jim Reid with the KS Outdoor Writers.They were having meetings in Emporia. Went to the feeder river to the main lake. Bob and I went there Sunday afternoon to dip a few jams. Bob had 2 in the boat before I could even get a lure in. But very soon I was in the game. Fished fast to find as many spots as we could for the next day. Had a few for pictures and gave the rest away to a couple of local bank fishers. They were very pleased and headed to their camp ground to 'clean & fry'. Monday on the river by 9 and as with any spawn bite,, it had changed,,,but very little. Caught a bunch of bass, crappies and a couple of bonus fish. Jim had never dipped with long poles but he was soon hooked.
