Been catching them shallow for the last few weeks. Seems the better bite is in the evening....last couple hours of daylite.

Crappie are shallow there already and good numbers are being taken. Saw one caught today that had to have been atleast 15". The black crappie have some really cool coloration to them right now.

Today they would bite as fast as you feed them throughout the day but would shut off for an hour or so then pick right back up.

Darn it, didn't get to go. A buddie back from the east coast on a week of leave needed a hand putting new electronics and trolling motor on his new rig. Kinda kept me busy all day, no time for fishing:{

It was pretty dead up there today. Seen one fish pulled out all day.
I caught two early, then zippo!!

We were out there for a good part of this afternoon and had zero luck.![]()
Had a pretty good day Saturday. Had to work for 'em but they were there! Went back into the brush by the dam, didn't catch any shallow. But this was coming off a pretty cold day or two also. Most we caught were right around 8-10". Threw everything under 10 back to get bigger!
