Went out his morning to a buddy's pond.Caught alot of small ones right on the bank early and then managed three keepers. The keepers were out a little deeper.Caught them on a black and chartruese jig under a bobber. All three were females and the eggs felt pretty firm.I'm heading back out this evening to another pond by my house. The spawn should get going any day now.

Last night my brother reported nothing but shorts 9-9 1/2"on the banks of HD. Should be a matter of days before the bigger ones come in if weather holds up.
I was at Smithville Thurs night and hit up a couple of my favorite spots and it was....well you know how that went. It was during that cold front.

I'm going to be at Hillsdale Sunday. Should have room on the pontoon if anybody wants a seat.

Weather permitting, I'll hit Clinton Monday morning. I changed shifts at work and other than about 4 hour on Monday morning I have to fish weekends, can't wait for the spawn to be over......just to many at the ramp for me. Really need a job where they just pay me to give fishing reports......maybe Chatt should sponsor me, we're in negotiations

A whole lot of nothing at Melvern today. Managed to catch one crappie, two smallmouths and a white bass in 8 hours...
Going to try Pomona in the morning.
