    heading down to lovewell tomarrow,hopeing the fish will be biting the rest of the week.. any reports or tips for that area? can't wait,snowing right now in MN.

    Well I think the weather heard you was coming down....we are in the middle of a terrible cold front for this time of year. They will be tough to find for the next 3 or 4 days. Not sure about Lovewell but most of the lakes in the middle to southern half of Kansas had the spawn start this last weekend. This cold front will have them shut down.

    Don't look shallow. I would start in about 8' and go down from there. If the crappie aren't cooperating, go after the walleye.

    Had a great time,caught lots of crappie,not where you would think they should be..the folks at the marina are great,the state park is very nice.over all you kansas folks are some of the friendliest people.. a little windy the first day but great after that..we'll be back again..
