    First timer to this site,heading to lovewell res. end of april.looking for crappies,any tips or advice? is this a good crappie lake? might head down to glen elder too.. first time fishing Kansas,sick of the snow in MN.THANKS

    Fished lovewell one time last year. Did pretty good for the first time on the lake and 25mph winds. I woild start at the creek channels on the lake as im thinking it might be a little eatly for the spawn. Jigs seemed to work better for me than minnows last year.. Good luck let us know how you do im going the end of may

    If you dont know already KDWP has the brush pile coordinates on there website came in handy when I have been there. They are also marked by buoys on the lake so you just have to get a close idea from the map to where they are at.
