    Default Dead "Fish" @ Melvern?

My nephew was camping last weekend at Melvern and noticed thousands of dead, floating fish. He indicated they were less than 3" in length. The fish were in an such an advanced state of decomposition he wasn't able to determine if they were shad or some other type of fish. They spent most of their time in the upper 1/2 of the lake where they noticed the floaters.

I had a good crappie day last Thursday and did not notice any dead fish that day.

Anyone else notice any floaters over the weekend?

Yes, I noticed a lot of mayfly carcasses last Thursday. (Darn May flies must not have calendars)

He said they were definitely fish of some type.
