Was at Clinton on the 15th. Met my pops there early and we were fishing by 6:00 a.m. Quite a few boats out on the flat fishing for eyes like we were. We caught a 3 of them drinking in the wind using a bottom bouncer with spinner or jig and crawler. They were all shorts, and I didn't see anybody else really catching them either. The wind really picked up later in the morning. Had a lot of bites, and our worms were always bit half off. Not sure if it was eyes reluctant to take the bait or what it was.
Water temp was around 76 degrees. When it hits about 80 those flats should be better eye fishing.

We switched over to do some crappie fishing but didn't have any luck. Tried dipping the trees.
