Hillsdale 5-24

Took an old college friend out today to Hillsdale to see if we could find a few fish. Got on the water at 10:00 A.M. and left at 4:00 P.M. Fished several areas. Brush piles, drop offs, creek channels. Caught fish just about everywhere on jigs and minnows, but could not find many keepers. Wind was pretty strong from the S.E. most of the day. Decided to try and find a few walleye. Fished slow death rig with crawler and bottom bouncer with a minnow. Caught a few larger crappie and several walleyes in 10-12' of water on mainlake points. Ended up with 1 21" walleye and five 11" crappie. Great day to catch up with an old friend, and was glad that we found a few to take home for supper.
