My son and I went out this morning. Got kinda late start on the water at 915. Checked the on step bank "East of Arrowrock cove, did not show anything on the drop off or brush piles. Headed West went up into eagle nest cove, marked some fish in the creek channel not thick but scattered through out fished these not takers, looked at the brush mid cove nothing on them, started checking points and drop off could not find any thing. I noticed a boat fishing the mid lake river channel west of Turkey point cove and South of the rock quarry kinda keep my eye on him as we worked our way West, he keep moving around then he left after about 20 minutes, we continued over to the East Silo cove looked the creek channel saw a few marks, saw few marks on a pile tried that no joy. Another boat started fishing the mid lake river channel. We worked back North along the creek channel until it joined the river channel nothing. Hit a brush pile right on the drop showed a few fish so tried it. Had one hit, then moved along break of 23 to 30 feet picked up one fat female 14. My son hooked a dink but lucky it came off when he lifted up on him. Noticed the boat on the mid channel left. Okay decided to run over West to river channel to see of anything there fished number of spots showing a few marks nothing, Ran back up toward Arrowrock cove decided might as well try just casting into bank to see what happen, My son caught a 12 inch female and that was it for the day.
We had a great time beautiful morning sun shining saw a lot of Turkeys on the bank. Wind was not to bad most on the morning. Just great to get out together and enjoy the day. Would do it again anytime even with the same results.
