    Default Slow morning at Milford!

Bought 2 dozen minnows at BJ's 66 and was on the water before sunrise. Things were super slow this morning, I hit all of the usual piles and couldn't manage to catch anything but a couple of dink crappie and smb's. Tried shallow. deep and everything in between... it was slow!! Fishing buddy Dave suggested we go to the damn and try the area we caught them at a couple of years ago, second cast and bam a nice 13.5" crappie! A couple more casts and boom a 19" walleye totally ate my purple and white roadrunner!!! He added a nice 12" crappie and then they were done! cleaned the 2 crappie and the walleye to eat later this afternoon!Name: dam crappie.jpg

Nice background, starts getting crowded doesn't it I spent the day over there myself. I had a guy and his kids to take fishing, which was nice, and only a few hours of whiteys. It's funny when you teach somebody to fish that when your done and ready to clean them that they say they already know how to clean them, WHAT? OK, after finishing up I was free and headed out to find some crappie. And, I did just that. Those big white crappie were in 15'+/-, but I got into some blackies in 2'-5'. NICE, mess of fish, 2 piles. I was beat and iced them down, I'll get you some pics after church.

Nice morning! I fished hd yesterday mid morning and the bite was slow. White Jigs worked best size was above average, just not a lot of fish. Jigs are out fishing minnows and by the looks of the boats the causeway bridge bite has started. Water temp was 69.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

It was slow at Melvern. One of the worst days I've had in 10 years there.
Spoke with fam members to fins out it was off at Perry. Fam member spoke w/ friend that does very well in many tourneys, (won the tourney last week at Perry in fact). He had the skunk cap on at Perry yesterday.

    Like your "colors" though!

MAN, do I love them blackies!!!!!!! They were nice-n-round with their medpaks still on 'em. I like my crappies overweight and insulin dependent, as my clan says. When you get back and have some time pm me, we can go hunt that 5# monster I've been searching for.
