    Default Melvern 9/23

A super great day at Melvern Sunday, started with breakfast at Green Acres.
Picked up 6 dz. minnows And we’re on the water before 8am.
Most the fish we caught where next to the brush piles along the south shore in 10’ to 16’ FOW.
Of course Ron caught all the big ones (biggest 14 ˝”) but he cheated by using a small yellow spoon tipped with a minnow.
We caught lots of shorts but only kept fish 10 ˝” and above.
We were off the lake by 3pm with 35 in the bucket and the minnows gone.
This is the 1st time since the 1st of Aug. Ron or I Have been fishing.

Great report! I was on Melvern yesterday morning until noon and we ended up with 22. Most of ours came from brush in 19-20 feet of water.

Sure is nice to be on the water this time of year, no pleasure boaters and not a lot of other traffic makes for a very enjoyable day on the water.

Good job! So many boaters on Milford yesterday morning you would thought it was the first day of Summer!!

Thanks for the report Rick! Would have loved to been there with you guys! Sounds like you did pretty good. Glad to see you got Ron back out on the water.

Yesterday was a fun day on the water, did not see any pleasure boats. Quiet wind at first and then it picked up, at times the trolling motor was out of the water. At first water was like a mirrow, when the waves started the fish became more active. Good times with a good friend, sure he would quit catching the dinks and work towards bigger fish.

So was Ron born with a yellow spoon in his mouth??
Good to hear the report. Makes me jealous I haven't been out much either.
