    Default biggest crappie ever

hey guys just wondering, what is the biggest crappie you have ever seen caught? How long was it?what did she way? what time of year?what lake or pond? water temp?method used. anything else that you can think of. mine is 18 inches 3.25lbs.spring,flood of 1993.John redman res.spillway hit a 1/4 ounce roadrunner pitching along side the wall 20 ft. or so down in the slack water.dont know the water depth.or temp.but the water was running 1500cfps and i was fishing for walleye.didnt know that there wasnt any walleye in john redman iwas chasing spillways that were releasing water.thats when gas was cheap and i drove all over kansas checking out different spillwyas for walleye. wish i had a pic, i ate it that night.

Nice fish guys. I feel cheated. 15" is all I have caught, a dozen of them or so. I saw Shane miss one that was 17"+ at the site of the boat but no monster Hogs

16 inch at the Glen, didn't weigh it. Caught it in the Spring trolling a flicker shad

18.5" no weight actually caught 2 that day and seen many more caught, Wolf Creek/Coffey County the Winter after it opened to the public! Snowing so hard that I had to shovel the snow out of the boat just to fish out of it! I think it was January 1996 or 1997? Caught on a 1/32 pink/white FuzzyGrub...

I caught an 18in. crappie out of the Perry spillway that weighed 3lbs. (on an old zebco de-liar scale ) I did take a pic. and it's around here somewhere but that was so long ago when I was a much younger man and if I remember right that was the only fish I caught. I was trying to catch walleye and was using two 1/8oz. maribou jigs and after the pic. I cooked it up

16-1/2" caught this spring at a private spot... on an 1/8-oz jig I tied.

Biggest public water fish have been a 15" white crappie caught off a dock, and a 14-1/2" black crappie through the ice in South Dakota. The black was WAY more memorable! That size and quality of fish coming up through an 8" hole is flat awesome.
