Sorry I won't be fishing this fall Just For Fun tournament this year. I have lined up 4-5 friends/relatives to help me pull my summer pontoon boat out of the lake Saturday and put my winter fishing shack in my slip. My winter fishing shack does not have a motor on it so I'll be stuck in my slip keeping warm over piles put there 3 years ago on Sunday. I might come by for ham and beans and visit with you all though if that would be okay?
Good luck to those fishing the Just For Fun tourney.

Captain Dan you are more than welcome to stop by and eat some warm ham and beans and see how the folks on the water did.

What a beautiful day for a Just for Fun tournament. WaterWitchin sez ANY day on the lake with light winds, sun, and ending up in shirt sleeves by end of day is a keeper.

Our die-hards have fished thru some hella worse fall (or spring) tourneys than this one. We lucked out, weather-wise, today. But fishin'-wise, it was tough, huh guys & gals?

Fourteen boats, and some real struggles to get keeper fish. Ham n beans & cornbread were excellent, so I'm told...a shout out to you-know-who for the extra $ toward food. Gracias to those who helped socialize my new guard dog pup. Thanks to the table-schlepper, when Zebco Wizard's truck went belly up... kinda like the boat, huh?

Okay, I'll shut up, and here 'tis...

1st Skinner & B Manis 5.88
2d K Manis & Grooms 5.84 and AOS 4.88 with a Wiper?
3d McKellips & Kirk 5.58
4th Crai & Kozubek 5.30
Big Fish A. Schrock 1.39 & 13-1/4"

Ten extra raffle prizes for those who weren't "in the money," courtesy of Top Secret (whose lures appeared to make the day pay off for some) and Minnesota Bait.

Winter hours for Bait Hut began today (closed Sunday & Monday), open Tues-Saturday 8-5. Zebco Wizard is looking forward to some well-deserved rest for his feet and mouth.

Let's do it again next spring... Just For Fun, of course.

anytime, dkv. The conversation and food are WaterWitchin's favorite part....I'm always much more awake by afternoon than dark-thirty.
