    Default Hd 7/22

Got to HD about 3:45PM and after the obligatory swim with the family hit my go to brushpile in 14 FOW. The bite was great but LOTS of dinks. Did manage to bring 6 home to clean - nothing to brag about, all were between just barely over 10" to 11". Caught about 40 in two hours (5:30PM to 7:30PM) though and the wife caught quite a few so it was fun. Left because it was getting late (work night - blah!) instead of losing the bite. Sucks to leave a hot spot like that! Had a scare between swimming and fishing cus the motor quit while we were idling out of our swim cove. Jacked with it for 20 minute before finding the emergeny kill clip popped off. Doh! Not sure how it got yanked. That happened to me years ago and went as far as being towed in and finding it later while troubleshooting at home. Had the fam pretty worried!

I really dislike those kill switches. I have had similar things happen to me a couple of times and I felt like a complete fool once I figured out what it was! I dont see a need for the dang things if people would sit down in the boat instead of standing up trying to be cool.
I pulled the cord off of mine so it cant get hung up on something and then epoxied the clip to it so it cant come out.
Don't Move a Mussel!! Clean, Drain and Dry EVERY TIME, ON EVERY BODY OF WATER!!
