Good program, just be aware that some of the lakes have additional rules that you still have to follow. The program grants you fishing access to the lake, but you still have to follow the local rules. Some of the lakes are no-wake, etc,.

This is a great article. All I did was fish CFAP lakes last summer. I didn't fish HD once for 3 months and learned so much. Well worth you time I say. Just pick a lake and go learn it. If you one who is worried about trying something new then you can study KDWP's website and look at the sampling rating and Biologist rating. You can narrow down which lake you want to hit fairly quickly. I can say this, most Olathe guys drive right by on of the best crappie lake in KS (lots of 14's) on their way to HD.
