Wichita Area

Just wondering if any of you boys ever had any luck in the Wichita area lakes and what not and if there was anywhere you suggest to try. Kinda stuck to land here but am more than willing to fish anywhere I can wet a line and chance some slabs

I only occasionally fish the Wichita area lakes, and when I do it's typically for bass. Sorry can't help you much. I would email Jessica Mounts, she is the fish biologist for the Wichita Lakes, and see can probably tell you the better crappie lakes in town. I know you can find her email address if you go to the fishing reports section for one of the Wichita lakes on the KDWP website.

Well I went to McPherson SFL with a buddy last night and we caught about 70 little guys. Seems like they were staging for prespawn already out there. From about 7-9 we couldn't get our lines back out fast enough. No size but was fun to catch a bunch.
