Default El Dorado Lake March 3rd and 4th

Fished the river at El Dorado this weekend and we caught some nice size crappie. Saturdays crappie were 4 over 7 FOW in a big oak tree. Most were 12+ with the largest at 14 inches. Caught some blacks also. The wind was not very nice to us but we managed anyways. Kept 23 very nice fish.

Sunday we were back up the river. The water color went from muddy to stained. Most of our fish Sunday came out of fallen trees with tons of cover. Had to really pull them out fast so we didn't get hung up. The fish were very aggressive. 3 FOW and less was the key. Kept 21 fish on the day. Biggest was 14 1/2

    Will post pictures tonight.

WTG . . . Sounds like they may be thinking about moving shallow.

That couldn't have been the water temp.

Thats what is was. Again backwater with full sun and no wind. Sunday it was very warm out of the wind. That was the max temp I seen about 4pm. Main river in the morning was 43-45 but we were fishing backwater areas. Way up the river and surface temp. Transducer is only a few inches off the surface. I have a very shallow boat for the river.

Wow, very hard to believe. No wonder they were so high up/shallow.
