well there you go from the pro LBM...thats the one I use....I like it too...i think the palomar is a better overall knot for strength, but I do not catch big enough fish to worry about it :) I think the loop knot helps the jig look more natural

normally the loop is about 3 inches long with bonus minis at the knot itself...looks like shinola
The end loop on mine would have been much longer but before closing the overhand knot I use the jig eye to hook inside the loop and force the knot to close further down the line closer towards the jig head. Before finally cinching the overhand knot let the jig eye come out of the overhand knot loop. This will put the final knot closer to the jig head thus a much shorter loop for the jig to hang from.
Lee...stay closer to those feeders and that'll solve the no catching issues
