tips for tying the huckabee loop knot with braid

well there you go from the pro LBM...thats the one I use....I like it too...i think the palomar is a better overall knot for strength, but I do not catch big enough fish to worry about it :) I think the loop knot helps the jig look more natural

I start with my line threaded through the hook eye and then treat the doubled line as one line and just proceed tying a overhand knot wrapping it three times before cinching it up.

Just the way I tie mine and don't have a problem with them other than not catching enough fish.

The end loop on mine would have been much longer but before closing the overhand knot I use the jig eye to hook inside the loop and force the knot to close further down the line closer towards the jig head. Before finally cinching the overhand knot let the jig eye come out of the overhand knot loop. This will put the final knot closer to the jig head thus a much shorter loop for the jig to hang from.

Lee...stay closer to those feeders and that'll solve the no catching issues

Same here, but I haven't had good outcomes with that knot and braid. I never saw this post in off-topic, good pics. When I saw the knot's pic I knew which one it was. Also, a single or bottom jig, you can just snug it like in the 2nd pic
