Outdoors without limitations
Maybe some of you saw the Hank Parker show when he had a disabled boy on his boat on a fishing trip. Hank is a spokesman for O.W.L. Outdoors Without Limitations.
I am a member of the newly formed K.C. MO area chapter of OWL. By the way, I am disabled after surviving a stroke 6 years ago that caused a loss of my left side motor skills, but that would not stop me from crappie fishing after I found some electric reels , sold my v-bottom fishing boat and bought a pontoon boat I keep at Clinton lake near Lawrence. I became a member to help, not to be helped getting back to the sport I love.
I frequent the Kansas Board daily since I live in and fish Kansas mainly, except for an occasional blue cat trip to Warsaw.
The new local chapter of OWL is starting its membership drive for fishermen and hunters that can help disabled kids and adults, some Vets, getting back to enjoying the outdoor sport of fishing and hunting we all enjoy and love.
You can find the national web site by searching Outdoors Without Limitations
and the local chapter web site is heartofamericachapter.com | Educating those with disabilities about activities in the outdoors and offer the opportunity to participate
