Hillsdale 12/20/10

Fished Hillsdale with an old friend and his son in his son's boat today. The forecast ed wind speeds for today were such I wouldn't have gone out to fight with and fish in my boat. I wasn't expecting much today, as for the fish catching, but to add more to my long list of memories of the good the bad and ugly fishing times we've experienced while fishing together since the mid 1960's. We completely avoided any of the bad and ugly and ended up with 24 crappie(some rather nice for Hillsdale) in the box making it a all in all very good day.

We didn't make it to the el primo brush pile in time today so checked the bridge out with no luck and ended up in fishing in the somewhat sheltered Wade branch where we could mark and catch some crappie 20 to 24 ft down. Red and white and red and chartreuse seemed to be the colors for us today.

I was all iced above the bridge and the ramp in the Wade was iced in but looked like one boat may have broken ice out of it.
