Hey gang,

I'm looking to buy a boat for my family (will be our first). Been looking at Alumacraft, Lund, Lowe, and Crestliner deep-Vs primarily. 16-17' in length. We'd really like a walk-thru windshield model.

The problem I'm now running into is the height of these darn things! I didn't realize how tall they were. This whole time I've been more focused on length/width for the garage, but now I've discovered our garage door shape is killing off the choices pretty quick.

Our garage door opening (the house frame) is an arch shape, running from 6' 3" -- 6' 10" -- 6' 3". Many of these boats are 6' 10" or an inch or two shorter, which won't clear.

Wondering if anyone near Wichita happens to have a late-model boat in these makes with a walk-thru windshield that I could measure, have you measure, or, if you're really generous, let me invite you over with your boat to see if it'd fit!

Again, a long shot, but just thinking of ideas. I can always buy a side-console or dual console, but we're hoping a WT model will work as the wife and kids will be along most of the time. (I still have a few models that I think will work, but thought I'd check.)
