Default Fish being lost out of lakes?

ON most dams, at what depth is the outlet located?
How many fish are lost out of a lake like Clinton?
Can adult ad fry fish outswim the outlet current?
    Just curious.

I seen a lot of big walleye snagged out of the Clinton spillway over the years.

Tons of wipers in the Milford spillway when it's flowing 3000 cfs or more. Never really caught many out of the river below that when it's down, so I always assumed that they have to be coming out of the lake

Should these fish, big wipers and walleyes etc. be netted and chucked back in the lakes or just continue to stock fingerlings that take years to grow? Out of the lakes were allowed 2 walleyes or 2 wipers - escaped fish caught from the spillway and river the limit and size should be?

State length and creel limits apply when the fish are in the outlets

I have fished the spillways of both Clinton and Perry alot since the mid seventies. As said above, nice walleye in large numbers can be caught as they release water. Fish that just are not there otherwise.
