Dead Trout in Sedgwick County trout pond 11/2/2015

I heard their were a bunch of dead trout in the Sedgwick County trout pond so I checked it out this afternoon. I didn't see that many so they may have been removed. These are very small trout the biggest was 8". I may not get a trout permit this year as I would rather catch white perch or bluegill than these dinky trout.

The first stocking usually has some casualties. They will survive better as the water cools down more.

Last year I counted over 60 cormorants at the trout pond and they were feeding on the dinky trout only. I presume they dont eat dead trout?
