Any spot where you see birds is always good. Might want to stay around major points. They have been shallow lately. I like to use grubs. Good luck.

I can't help you specifically in regards to El Dorado, but I target wipers frequently at Clinton in that they are larger than crappie, good fighters, and tasty.
My usual technique, and last week at Clinton, I trolled 1.7-2 mph, with deep diving stick baits ~3.5" (Storm Thunder sticks Jr, and Reef Runner 600, depth 14-16'). They were hitting both firetiger and purple. I was zig-zagging back and forth over the channels, through balls of bait fish. Caught several in the 4-5#range. Also got a large drum.
    I fish; therefore I am.
