    Default Vinton Pond 6-27-15

    With Mommy and big sister away watching their not-so-secret crush Blake Shelton at Country Stampede, little one and I set out for some bank fishing. Went first to the spillway at Milford, very crowded and even with her life jacket on..I wasn't to thrilled with the situation. Didn't want to get too busy to watch her...

    Sooo, we decided to hit a couple of ponds on Fort Riley. Couldn't get on any crappie, although other fishers were getting some small ones. But we lit into a bunch of bluegills with her new "sparkly purple" Zebco special! She reeled in no less than a dozen by herself after I helped hook them. She had a blast, but nothing compared to me!     Stopped by there after work tonight. One crappie in one hour. Worked out to 10 minutes per inch of crappie.
