Slow crappie fishing means it's catfish time

Been dippin trees for crappies with limited results so Lee took me to Middlecreek for some "feeder channel-cat fishing"....11ft. crappie rod and cut bait with no weight, flippin around the feeder makes for alot of fun...we had our 5 fish limits in no time and the fish were still biting when we left....man those cats put up a fight, the biggest was just shy of 6lbs. Took another friend (Jake) on thursday and same result...limits caught and the biggest was 10.5lbs....this type of fishing is alot of fun and I have to thank Lee for showing me how to do it....this helps break the summer doldrums for me

Absolutely. Nice fish. Catching big fish in the big rivers. Channels and flats taking set, land poles, trout, limb lines, jugs road and reel. Some days a few boats at the water takeout in Bonner. Cut carp for the flats and channels maybe blues. But 5 7 inch gill, might see a 6 footer. That's in the range I'm look for. Good times with jugs also. Have fun get some, good to live in America where the bait will actually jump in your boat if you drive right. Little cut on the north side by MR city usually is good for 3. That's 15 cut baits. Good times, summer in KS.
