Went out today when the wind died down a little. Water temp 38f, fishing was dead slow....2 dinks,,,,saw lots on the finder but........
As always my floatation / exposure suit kept me toasty warm but eventually had to call for my ride for pick up.....a big thank you to the wife for drop off and pick up.
The ice started forming quick later in the day, nothing thick. Going to try a new product I saw at Walmart....a 2 part spray that supposedly no water will stick to. Going to spray my rod eyes/tips to see if it will keep the ice from forming as much. Threw Ice Melt out on the ramp friday on the way home from work and it was working.
Then came home and made Pecan Smoked Bourbon Sloppy Joes.....it was good

Great pictures once again! Thanks, Brad
That looks cold! Thanks for the report!
Don't Move a Mussel!!Clean, Drain and Dry EVERY TIME, ON EVERY BODY OF WATER!!
Great you got out to cold for me even in the arctic Armour
Thanks for the look out in the real world of fishing...as I'm hibernating and wondering when I'll brave the cold and remind myself that " winter is the best fishing time of the year"! Great pics. and let us know if that product works on your rod guides....that would be a great help for winter fishing.![]()
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
Hey Kag any luck with the two part spray from Walmart?
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
would love to hear more about the spray from walmart. Have that problem here with reel and eyes freezing up
2 part spray....neverwet spray
It does not work for long term use.....helps yes, works....not for this. As you reel line in it eventually builds up. So its back to spraying my line on the reel with WD-40 periodically.
Thanks for the info. now I'll have to spend my money on something else I don't need.![]()
