I drift fish a lot but have never used a sock. What am I missing?

Drift socks are usually used under windy conditions to control the speed of your drift...you throw them out (with a rope secured to your boat). It slows your speed down. Some people use log chains...u can get them in different sizes....water enters the sock through a LARGE hole and exits out the other end which is smaller.Originally Posted by zummy
