    Default Hartford Boat Ramp

For those that haven't been down there the Hartford boat ramp on the Neosho is completely unusable. Its been like this since the high water receded we had in August. I don't know if calling the COE will do any good, or if the USFWS is supposed to take care of it, but either way it can't be used in its present state.

One side of me says YUCK!!, and the other, says it's dippin' time. Reminds me of when Council Grove plugged up. Where is this ramp anyways?
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat

It is in the city of Hartford Kansas just E. S. East of Emporia upriver from John Redmond Res. At one time it was a very popular spot to wade the riffles for whites around Easter on up to May or June. Ramp sets bewteen Neosho River Bridge and North East part of town. Don't blink though, could miss it. Kiddin!

No riffles there anymore thanks to the COE. River looks nothing like it did when I was a kid. Water came up with the rain and pushed the logs upstream of the ramp through. Ramp itself is still plugged with logs as of 3 hours ago. The big log jam will be in Hartford in a couple years and close off all access.

No have not tried fishing there. Went and looked lake so low would be tough to get boat in unless small. Might be better know that lake is up a little. Refering to the river ramp above Melvern.

If I remember correctly this park is run by the City of Hartford and it would be up to them to clear ramp. I might be wrong about this just what I think I remember from years past.

The river access sign has both COE and US Fish and Wildlife signs on it.

Okay guess I am wrong. Wish those guys would get on the stick and clean it out. white bass usually come up the river from Redmon during fall can be some fun fishing.
