    Default Heading to Milford

I'm heading to Milford on Saturday, hoping to get in on some topwater wiper action. Might try for some walleye. Anyone have any advice they want to share on where to find the walleye this time of year?

I would look around the lower part of the lake if I was looking. Good luck...

Size: 76.7 KB The morning started off pretty cold but the fishing warmed up nicely. We started out by catching some shad then we headed out to the main lake. We watched for gulls diving with no luck. Seen a lot of birds but no feeding activity. Spent some time in School Creek and caught a couple of small wiper. We tried some trolling for walleye with no luck. We ate some lunch while drifting the north hump and picked up a 5lb blue. About 1:30 we headed south and found the wipers on break in 24' to 32' of water. We dropped shad to the bottom and then 2 cranks up. BAM, fish on! The bite was constant until we ran out of bait at about 4:30. We went and caught some more shad and the fish still wanted to play when we returned. We caught fish until dark. Ended up putting 90 in the boat with numerous break offs and misses between the two of us. We had 10 over 20" with the biggest being a little of 25". Average size was 16"-17". I wished that lake wasn't so far from home because we're definitely ready to go back.

Whites are in the river here right now. Cousin and some friends caught 164 last night before they quit keeping track.
