Default There really are crappie in Colorado!

Hooked on a small 180 acre irrigation reservoir down the road from my house, I'm figuring out these Colorado fish! I don't think anybody fishes crappie around here because these fish absolutely love my Bobby Garland baby shad!Name: 1236193_3493819881334_1517182861_n.jpg

Yes, sadly we have lost many great fishing lakes to the flooding! On the brightside many of the lakes that were very low are filling back up over the structure! The dam broke at Rocky Mountain Arsenal wiping out one of my favorite pike lakes. St Vrain State Park that had several small lakes full of walleye, saugeye and tiger muskies was over taken by the St Vrain river and the list goes on! I can't get to the lakes down the road that I have been crappie fishing because the roads are flooded/closed...

Thanks Doc, for teaching me how to "tightline" jig the deep crappie and inflicting me with this deepwater jigging addiction!! ...and by the way, the "Christmas Tree" works here too!
