    Default Lowrance Insight Planner software

I have a screen shot of the new Lowrance insight planner which you can view my maps on your PC make waypoints routes and trails and other files and put to your SD card and then import them to your unit. For Humminbird guys you can do the same but you have to import the .usr file into the Humminbird software and then send to your Humminbird. I have attached a screen shot of the planner and it is showing my raster image of Melvern. I could not turn off the vector contours in the planner and that is the yellow lines you see but you will see them turned off in the screen shot I took on my GEN 2. I have also uploaded Melvern raster map as it shows on your GPS. I was on the phone today lowrance to try to get the problem solved with the Elite 7 so you can see my raster maps on it also. They are working on this now and they will let me know when they have fixed it.

I ask lowrane to become a dealer and sell the insight planner with my maps. They are considering this and if I become a dealer I will make a video for you guys to download and see how the insight planner works.
They have tech support there but I will make step by step video how to use the planner.

I have a year's free insight with my new Elite 7 but frankly I thought it was above my pay grade. What I would like to be able to do is call up my lake map on my PC and input waypoints and down load to the Elite and vice versa. This was fairly simple with my HB but somehow this feature in Lowrance is confusing to me.
In a nutshell, what does Insight allow you to do?
    Thanks,

You can do exactly that with my maps and the insight planner software. I don't know about the years free insight I think we are talking two different things here. Here is what you can do if someone buys my maps on a chip and you purchase the insight planner software you just put my chip in a USB Card reader and insert the reader in one of your usb slots. Then you open up the software and import my maps from the chip into the Insight planner software. All the instructions are in the help file in the software. Once you import my maps from the chip you then can plot waypoints routes and tracks and transfer to another blank SD card in the reader. Then you just put the card with the waypoints in your Elite 7 and upload them to your unit.I think the year free insight has to do with downloading maps from the Lowrance site and importing them in your software.my maps are in the at5 format and are encrypted and cannot be copied directly.Once you have imported my maps from the card you are done you never have to import them again. You only have to import any map one time and you never have to put the card with my maps in again.Hope this helps explain what you want.
