Question Where would be a good place to take the Grand Kids fish from my boat.

    OK guys,
My younger grand boys want to go fishing in my boat.
So what / where would be a good place to go to get some fishing action.
Sun fish / carp / anything that will bite.
Just need some fishing action to make them happy.
    Ages 8 - 10 - 13 years old.
I know pond fishing would most likely be the best but they want to fish from the boat.

    Thanks
    Rick

Go find a brush pile at Melvern and drop some minnows in them. You can catch as many crappie as you want. Use a single hook kentucky rig and let them have fun! May not be many to keep but the piles should be full of fish.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

Douglas county lake would be a good place. Get some worms and fish around the brush and that should keep them busy. Not many big fish but plenty of small ones and they bite all the time.

Osage county lake would be a great lake to introduce them to some nice channel cat as well as blue gill and crappie. Not too may know about the opportunities at Osage.
