Default Crazy Changes to Goose Season this year

For you waterfowler's this years goose limit has gone nuts! They are going to give us 6 canada geese a day and 50 snows' per day during the full framework season. Looks like ducks and dates are staying the same but that's insane.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

I can not believe they doubled the daily limit. I am afraid this is not a good thing. Definitely will be more people hunting. 6 honkers will be a bunch for the freezer. Better get the smoker ready.

Geeb you are correct, NE and OK better follow or every outfitter in the country is going to set up shop in KS which makes me worry we are going to have the same problem that is now happening with deer in KS... There are going to be lots of goose sticks trips made this year I have a feeling.

I appreciate what our bios and law enforcement guys do for the state but the suits sitting behind the desks have made a mockery out of our hunting. Rifle doe season in Oct., huge honker limits. It's all about the mighty $ and catering to the outfitters. Maybe an 8 tom limit during turkey season is next. Another reason to enjoy fall and winter fishing.

With the rapid growth I have noticed around the Wichita area in the last 5-8 years, I can't imagine how many more hunters are going to be in the fields this winter. We used be one of 2 groups that hunted on the N side of town....now it is rare to not see a truck/trailer in every section. I guess Cabela's will be happy, more people buying decoys @ $139.99 for a 4pk of Big Foots!!!! I bought mine for $89.99 & $99.99 and thought that was a rip off at the time. Done complaining now. I will be out there enjoying the new limits. Nothing beats putting a group of birds in the decoys walking around....
