Spring 2012: I think the crappie started spawning just after Valentines Day :-P

Spring 2013: Looks like the spawn will happen... OH MAYBE AROUND 4th of July?????

Either way, I'll be ready when it does go down!

I am going out Sunday. Gotta look for morels before I hit the water. Fried crappie and morels makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Was going to look for morels today but thought they might be hard to find in the snow.

If you did find some you would not have to worry about freezing them.

I found quite a few last night but they were all about the size of your thumb so I left them to grow for a couple days.

Taking the boat out tomorrow. Hopefully gonna get the daughter her first fish. Also is going to be a trial run for my new electronics just to make sure every thing works before I take my Dad out sunday. He hasn't fished out of a boat in 30 years, and my uncles scared the piss out of him when he did, so I want it to be a good trip.
