Lowrance does it again!!

Lowrance is releasing a new update for HDS GEN2 units and Gen2 touch units where they now can network maps to be used on both units. This is huge for some of us that have to have two cards for our units. All you have to do is have the units Ethernet together…. This software will also have the capability to calibrate and set the offset of the Point-1 GPS Antenna / Heading Sensor.

Here are other thing they are doing.

• Insight Genesis support for HDS GEN2 (keypad)

o HDS GEN2 Touch already supports Insight Genesis

• Go-Free wireless support for both HDS GEN2 and HDS GEN2 Touch

o Requires WIFI-1 module to enable wireless connection

o Tablet (iPad or Android) connected to HDS GEN2 Touch enables full control

o Tablet (iPad or Android) connected to HDS GEN2 (keypad) enables full control

o Phone (iPhone or Android) connection to HDS GEN2 (keypad) or HDS GEN2 Touch enables viewing

• Chart Sharing across Ethernet network

o HUGE FEATURE

o One map card can be used to show data on all units on a network

o Works with Insight, Navionics, Jeppesen and other 3rd party chart providers

• New Screenshot shortcut for HDS GEN2 (Keypad)

o PAGES + POWER buttons

o Similar scheme to HDS GEN2 Touch

• Faster Internal GPS update rate

o Upgrade from 1Hz to 5Hz

• StructureMap HD

o Hi-resolution StructureMap overlay option

• Export Region enabled on HDS GEN2 (keypad)

o This is already available on HDS GEN2 Touch

o Great features for exporting waypoints in only certain area

• StructureScan Auto Contrast

• PDF Viewer

o Owner’s manual will be included in units from the factors and can be viewed on units themselves

o Will not be included in software download

Super cool.. When is the software updates for the gen2's coming.
I orded the Point-1 .. Gues there needs to be a software update for that also..
When Is Lowrance going to come out with a device I can talk to the fish and find out what they are going to bite on..

Should be at the end of the month... The Point one upgrade is included.

Not yet, they mailed mine out but I haven't got it yet. I will let you know.

Cannot wait until I can get all this on my Ipad, would be very cool of course someone will have to give me an Ipad, what ever that is. Yeah but so cool

I got an update, it get light mostly in mornings, dark happens along about sundown and after, ctl alt save or something
