Hey kansas guys, I am from Tennessee and am pretty sure that I will be headed to the Hugoton,ks area to work on a ethanol plant that is being built there. I am hoping some of you can tell me where I can catch some nice crappies out that way, maybe within an hour or so drive from hugoton.I've looked on the map and I don't see anything.I would be willing to go over to colorado or oklahoma if neccasary. Can yall help? Thanks crappiehoarder.

Go to this site and click on region #3.

Where to Fish in Kansas / Fishing / KDWPT - KDWPT

Or check any of the other regions in the state. Good luck.

Region #1 has a couple good lakes.

Closest lake to you would be Horsethief Reservoir. It's a newly constructed lake, but there are some very nice crappie to be had. There are some other lakes north and east of you that are within a few hour drive that have very good fishing as well. PM me if you'd like.
