Hey kansas guys, I am from Tennessee and am pretty sure that I will be headed to the Hugoton,ks area to work on a ethanol plant that is being built there. I am hoping some of you can tell me where I can catch some nice crappies out that way,maybe within an hour or so drive from hugoton.I've looked on the map and I don't see anything.I would be willing to go over to colorado or oklahoma if neccasary. KAW lake in Ok. is fairly close, has nice fish
Thanks blackdog,looks like kaw is about 5 hour drive from hugoton. Just not much to choose from in that area it don't look like. I may just leave the boat at home for this trip. Thanks for the info though guys.
Closest lake to you would be Horsethief Reservoir. It's a newly constructed lake, but there are some very nice crappie to be had. There are some other lakes north and east of you that are within a few hour drive that have very good fishing as well. PM me if you'd like.
