    Default Cameron Springs 10-MAR-2013

Due to excessively high North winds I decided to leave the boat at home and hit up Cameron Springs for some trout on the fly action!
The bites came early and often on a black #8 wooly bugger! I kept 5 between 14"-19" for a guy at work.

    This guy is still swimming!

Love to trout fish with my fly rod as much as I like crappie fishing with ultra light. I think I met you over at the quarry at Milford last year crappie fishing with my fly rod. I was just curious as where Cameron springs is? I've never heard of it before until you mentioned earlier on here. Is it accessible to the general public? I fish Kanopolis seep stream some, but would like to try somewhere different. Like the golden you caught. Nice fish!

Yeah that was me i the red Lund, you sure put a thumpin on those slabs that one evening with your flyrod! Cameron Springs is on Ft Riley and is open to everyone with a state license and permit. Pretty easy fishing, Moon lake also on Ft Riley is also stocked with trout in the Fall/Winter months. Let me know if you want more info...
